For those who don’t know, I started a Twitch channel with the mission being to educate on different aspects of video game development so as to prevent another Cyberpunk 2077 scenario. Also, for the purposes of empowerment and exposure, promote artists (the links above will take you to the Twitch channel, the mission statement on Tumblr, and the artist shout-out criteria on Tumblr).
Today, I decided to start reusing my old WordPress blog for The Weekend Game Show as well so as to reach a broader audience. Just like with the Tumblr, I’m going to continue to post whatever I feel like (with this blog’s address being “opinionsandtruth”) and each post will spread to separate sites, which will allow me to work smarter instead of harder. Warning in advanced, this means there might be repeat postings. I don’t intend to do a full migration of everything on the Tumblr to the WordPress blog; that’s a headache I don’t need.
The sites I have WordPress posting to are WGS’ Facebook Page, the WGS Twitter, and, of course, the WGS Tumblr (which then posts to the MonriaTitans Twitter, which I like to call my Rantwitter, so I use the WGS Tumblr to post happier things to it).
For those who are curious, you can see the rest of my streaming links by clicking here.
Returning to WordPress is interesting, to say the least; there have been MANY changes since I last used it. I believe the last time I made a post was back in 2021 (I was beginning to add my How Far Away? series of YouTube vods to the blog (before announcing I was on Twitch/YouTube)). If I was able to set a site icon back then, I did not notice. So, I decided to use one of the WGS logos I made as the icon. I’ve been looking into other places to put it, since it was the reason I created it to begin with, but the white background is throwing off the aesthetic, so I’ll have to play with it.
And these are all the updates I have for this post. Thank you for reading. May every decision you make in the future be in the spirit of fairness and may the rest of your day NOT go to $#!7.
